"Communism" as an Option.

In a state that is still struggle with it democracy, the hope for sober minded investors is still far from fetch. As the saying goes "put your money where your mouth is". In a quiet moments I always asked myself what is the future hold for the young?  In my opinion I want to say we have tried several things... Yet there are no positive results. However, I want to suggest a way out, that is "communism". Communism is a philosophical, social, political, and economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of a communist society, which is a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money, and the state. Wikipedia If we must developed at this present moment, I think the ultimate strength must be laid on the shoulder of the president. In Africa today we have so many endowment from God which must have given Africans a pride of identity, yet still we are always rated...

THE RECRUITMENT VISIT

If you sleep and wake up give thanks to God. Day in day out, my contributions to my country is enormous. However, I always work hard in silent so as to contribute in the development of sierra Leone in my own little ways. In this piece I want to point out my findings in the ongoing Republic of sierra Leone Arm Forces (RSLAF). It is disgusting to see a population of less than ten million people still battling with basics amenities since our independent in April 1961... Including light, water, good roads, housing.  In my recent visit to Murray Town and Makeni Teko barracks, on the ongoing (RSLAF) recruitment processes I firstly discovered that there is mass unemployment rate in Sierra Leone. In a situation where an announcement was made for 600 vacant positions to be filled.  The number of applicant that turn in for that position is more than 15,000 applicant. Owing to the fact that sierra Leone is that country when coming up as a kid in the schooling system, a teacher would aske...

Sierra Leone job wahala

Living in Sierra Leone is fine and great when you have all what it takes to survive. Sierra Leone portray truly the saying of Charles Darwin, who says survival of the fittest. In meaning only the strangest of the strong will survive. In my quite moment I always think about the scaring report that was publish on UNDP-SL website, which state that eight hundred thousand people (youths) are actively in search of job. However, these youths are healthy, able, and qualified but they can not find job. In a depensation of complete joblessness, the noun "dignity" is obsolete. In an instance of job offer that is suppose to be carried out by a BECE holder or a non school goers, here the case is different degree holder in communication or Business will compete too for that same job.  In such a case I see a society that produce things they don't want and hoping to have something of un imaginary. Sometimes I asked myself are we still in slavery? The reason being a lot of articles have c...

Poverty! Hardship! Greed!

My country is sierra Leone which can be found in the west coast of Africa. Contemplating in what the future holds for our generation is far from fetch. In my perfect mood going through the street of Freetown in finding what really life is for the ordinary man.  However, the pictures I see normally say it all that people are in mass poverty!  Many a time I firstly asks myself were are the INGO, NGO, and the Government? First and foremost I want to start by addressing the International Non Governmental Organization. Sierra Leone situation is different to other countries. In Sierra Leone when and international Non Governmental Organization come to  roll out their program or project the first impression they will make to us is  the Aid one.  Firstly, our government has made us to see NGOs as aiders to our communities, that is why their jobs and project is been widely overlooked. I want to say if the projects of NGOs were highly monitors and implemented the Diverstat...

Africa and it governance structure

For far to long we have been in a dilemma of not knowing what right and responsibility is about. So many  articles have come out, emphasis are been made to certain extend what the role of a government and what is expected of us the citizens.  However, moving forward with this article Justice would not be done if I failed to acknowledged the civil societies organizations that are working in line of sensitising the public on the power they have, in asking critical questions that relates to things they should have as citizens. In my country (Sierra Leone) is a fine country located on the West cost of Africa where public official are been seen as semi god's. In Sierra Leone today peace I would say is there as many a time we have been rated peaceful across the globe, which is a good thing.  The one million dollar question I found very disturbing is that why our government have been class as semi god's?  The reason why this question is so disturbing is the simple fact that...

Child marriage! The effect! The way forward

As it is said we will begin to go backward when we are silent to things that matter. Child marriage!  Our generation is constantly in battle with the syndrome... of an increase in child marriages. Everywhere today campaign is being mounted to tackle this disease. In my country Sierra Leone (west Africa) we have a slogan in our local parlance pikito which means child that is in the age of 16.  However, some usually say young cucumber is the best. When you hear someone (men) say this just know that he is referring to a child that is below the age of consent. Notwithstanding, child marriage is the process that occurs where child/children that is below the age of 18 are sent or forced into early marriage. Child marriages today are seen as a global problem in the world over.  However, in some countries today tough laws are being put in place in other to solve this problem and in helping bring perpetrators to book. In my perspective, the problem starts mostly with a centralized...
