Africa and it governance structure

For far to long we have been in a dilemma of not knowing what right and responsibility is about. So many  articles have come out, emphasis are been made to certain extend what the role of a government and what is expected of us the citizens.

However, moving forward with this article Justice would not be done if I failed to acknowledged the civil societies organizations that are working in line of sensitising the public on the power they have, in asking critical questions that relates to things they should have as citizens.

In my country (Sierra Leone) is a fine country located on the West cost of Africa where public official are been seen as semi god's. In Sierra Leone today peace I would say is there as many a time we have been rated peaceful across the globe, which is a good thing.

The one million dollar question I found very disturbing is that why our government have been class as semi god's?  The reason why this question is so disturbing is the simple fact that when report of international index on peace come out they would jump and you would see them on every television programs.

However, the opposite normally happen when report of international index on poverty, unemployment and the likes come out you would find renowned public official challenging the instrument that was used to have such reports. Notwithstanding, the sad reality is that it is always true and more realistic when you vett these reports on the ground in the area of 1. Observation, discussion and random sampling and the likes.

We are in a century where we would comfortably say that man for himself God for all.

The power of our government is so big to an extend the are not questionable or call to book when they are in power. One instance could be seen when a government role is to be different and independent in allowing public institutions to carrying their duties without fair, bias and favoured.

Many a time the opposite exist as they normally say we have three arms of government which are as follows: legislative, the executive and parliament.

However, most of the big positions are been appointed by government and in any sensible situation where people IQ are in their right senses, that would definitely show that the appointees would be in the first place work in the interest of the one that elect him or her instead of the bigger picture, which is the state.

In a contemporary world, I want to see the situation where government that are elected into office by the masses would be greatful to the people in the first place and work in the best interest of the people. If not I don't want to say we would make progress easily on the various international conventions our government is signing. However, many a time is because of the funding not the actual aim of solving any problem.
