Know the unknown about life after university !!!

It is true that knowledge is power! I believe it will always remain like that. The point I want to put forward is that life after university is not as usual as we use to know it. In the past people will go to university and come back with 100% of certainty of securing a job in the shortest time, which was prove to be true as the population then was little and the resources were enough to sufficed. Now that is completely different, the number of people turning in for universities studies today is ten times larger than before. With such turn out, the reality remain that the readily available jobs are not enough to catch up with the number of graduate. One thing we all have missed is entrepreneurship. The simple reason for that is we don't normally have a plan B for our lives. In an instance of one coming out from the university and he has search for jobs for several months and the search didn't prove successful, why not make a narrow excape of that and starts thinking...

Sierra Leone the dream state

Striving and hope as been around for such a longtime and is still within us. However, since our independent in April 1961, Sierra Leone has never changed in it pursuant towards development in global perspective. It is on this observation I want to honestly state that Sierra Leone is a dream Nation. When the world is moving faster we are busy living in our owned state of deliberation on who we should select to rule us, and perhaps take us to the promise land.  Sierra Leone is aged at 59 years as at today. When you do analysis of politics in this part of the world you would realized that since independent it is only two political parties that has govern us.  In a state that is endowed with lot of resources yet still we are always set at the bottom of the world always in terms of statistics. In 2005 to date many of the reports on economy as pelt Sierra Leone at the bottom. In one economical reports which stated that Sierra Leone is among the poores...

Sierra Leone Poda Poda Wahala

One morning it was all over the news that vehicles that are not road worthy would be stop in plying the street of Freetown. Several views were had across places I visited, the majority were saying it would be just as usual! Which is mere announcement with no implementation. As a Sierra Leonean that normally plied the street of Freetown including, west and central I want to bring to the notice of the Authorities that plenty vehicles that are plying the street of Freetown are not fit for purpose.  However, they are not ideal for human confort. If you are in these places:  Dwarzark, New England Ville, Tengbeh town, Murray town, Kingtom, trust me your live is not safe as compare to people that are staying in Lumbley and Aberdeen, The reason is so simple to justify. When you see a vehicle from Dwarzak you will start smelling danger immediately you onboard in it. Places like Dwarzak, New england ville  most of there vehicles has no Key to start the vehicles. Whenever, you enter...

"Communism" as an Option.

In a state that is still struggle with it democracy, the hope for sober minded investors is still far from fetch. As the saying goes "put your money where your mouth is". In a quiet moments I always asked myself what is the future hold for the young?  In my opinion I want to say we have tried several things... Yet there are no positive results. However, I want to suggest a way out, that is "communism". Communism is a philosophical, social, political, and economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of a communist society, which is a socioeconomic order structured upon the ideas of common ownership of the means of production and the absence of social classes, money, and the state. Wikipedia If we must developed at this present moment, I think the ultimate strength must be laid on the shoulder of the president. In Africa today we have so many endowment from God which must have given Africans a pride of identity, yet still we are always rated...

THE RECRUITMENT VISIT

If you sleep and wake up give thanks to God. Day in day out, my contributions to my country is enormous. However, I always work hard in silent so as to contribute in the development of sierra Leone in my own little ways. In this piece I want to point out my findings in the ongoing Republic of sierra Leone Arm Forces (RSLAF). It is disgusting to see a population of less than ten million people still battling with basics amenities since our independent in April 1961... Including light, water, good roads, housing.  In my recent visit to Murray Town and Makeni Teko barracks, on the ongoing (RSLAF) recruitment processes I firstly discovered that there is mass unemployment rate in Sierra Leone. In a situation where an announcement was made for 600 vacant positions to be filled.  The number of applicant that turn in for that position is more than 15,000 applicant. Owing to the fact that sierra Leone is that country when coming up as a kid in the schooling system, a teacher would aske...

Sierra Leone job wahala

Living in Sierra Leone is fine and great when you have all what it takes to survive. Sierra Leone portray truly the saying of Charles Darwin, who says survival of the fittest. In meaning only the strangest of the strong will survive. In my quite moment I always think about the scaring report that was publish on UNDP-SL website, which state that eight hundred thousand people (youths) are actively in search of job. However, these youths are healthy, able, and qualified but they can not find job. In a depensation of complete joblessness, the noun "dignity" is obsolete. In an instance of job offer that is suppose to be carried out by a BECE holder or a non school goers, here the case is different degree holder in communication or Business will compete too for that same job.  In such a case I see a society that produce things they don't want and hoping to have something of un imaginary. Sometimes I asked myself are we still in slavery? The reason being a lot of articles have c...
