Hon. Ambassador Dr. Mrs. Shirley Yeama Gbujama, an APC Success Story on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment, was promoted today in a nice prose by SLPP stalwart Dr. David Sengeh but David forgot to mention that Hon. Gbujama is an APC (All Peoples Congress) Success Story on Gender Equality & Women's Empowerment. Hon. Shirley Gbujama, an eminent woman of substance was first spotted and elevated *in 1972* by the Mighty APC party in governance under His Excellency President Dr. Siaka Probyn Stevens of blessed memory and Foreign Minister Professor Solomon Pratt (my maternal grandfather). It was H.E. President Siaka Stevens, as APC Leader and President of Sierra Leone who, on the recommendation of a then dynamic 🚩APC Women's Congress of Madam Nancy Steele, appointed Madam Shirley Gbujama as a female Ambassador of Sierra Leone to first, our Addis Ababa mission at the now African Union (then known as OAU), Ethiopia, Tanzania and several east African countries in the year 1...

The rise of pyramid schemes in Sierra Leone has become a concern.

The rise of pyramid schemes in Sierra Leone has become a concern.  In recent years, the rise of pyramid schemes has become a concerning phenomenon that has affected individuals, communities, and even entire economies. Pyramid schemes, also known as Ponzi schemes, promise quick and substantial financial gains to participants but ultimately result in significant financial losses for the majority of participants involved. At their core, pyramid schemes operate on a deceptive business model that relies on recruiting new participants to generate profits, rather than selling genuine products or providing legitimate services. The initial participants, often referred to as "founders" or "early adopters," are enticed by the promise of high returns on their investments or membership fees. They are encouraged to recruit others into the scheme, who in turn recruit more participants, forming a hierarchical structure resembling a pyramid. The allure of pyramid schemes lies in the...

Kao and Boss L.A on a new song

I had the opportunity to visit my brother, LAJ, in prison, and it turned out to be a truly special and uplifting experience. During our time together, we had a meaningful chat covering a range of topics. We were granted permission to record a new song titled "Peace," produced by the talented Lordmo D Goldenfingers, which will be released soon. The song "Peace" which I feature LAJ not only reflects my perspectives and efforts but also highlights the efforts of fellow entertainers and stakeholders in constantly advocating for LAJ's freedom, including our sincere appeal to President Julius Maada Bio for a pardon, which we highly anticipate that he will do because we trust he is a listening President. The song aims to promote unity among our fans and peace in the nation, especially in these politically challenging times. BBC reporter pen down touching note on his birthday

Dear Allah, I want to thank you, again, for enabling me to witness another birthday in sound mind and sound body.  When I was born in Bumpeh in Kono , I struggled a lot - right from birth, I’d later be told.  Like many other Sierra Leoneans up to this day, my upbringing was challenging due to poverty in the family. So much so that I dropped out of high school, twice!  After the first, a friend - Brima Kamara - took me back to school by travelling with me to Makeni. That was the first time I’d leave my birthplace to my ancestral district of Bombali.  After my secondary school-leaving exams at the Benevolent Islamic Secondary School, I dropped out again.  I went to Tongo Fields to mine for diamonds, with the sole aim of being able to further my education.  There, I got a piece of stone which my colleagues and I sold. I gave my share of the proceeds to my maternal aunt to keep. She added it to her capital but her business later collapsed.  I joined...
